Messages show up maximized in Windows Live Mail

No matter what I do, I cannot make the message that I want to read reduce in size. In Vista, I could set it do so so. Now, it is always full screen. I have tried to drag the corner to make it smaller--to no avail.
    Any ideas???
    Thanks.

Hi sanjo, Welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you using the 'Preview Pane' ?

No--I am not using the preview pane. Just got my new laptop and desktop computers with Windows 7 Pro. It worked on the desktop when I first got it but just started doing this. It is fine on the laptop and they are identical in how they are set up. I tried rebooting and it didn't work.
    Ideas???
I read one of the other Forum entries about checking the properties on the shortcut and setting it to normal and that did not work either.
    Thanks.

Mine doesn't look anything like that. I would love to have it look like yours. Don't know why it doesn't. I would like to have File-Edit-View, etc. run across the top but it doesn't.
    Thanks.

Your wish has been granted. Before installing it, remove all Windows Live Essentials first.

    Problems

Could not open that file--indicated that I had the newer version. The Geek Squad is coming on Monday to deal with some networking issues so I will have them look at your posting. Thanks.

Problem solved last night--easy fix but I didn't do it the way you suggested. It still doesn't "look" the way I want but now things are the right "size" which was my major concern. Thanks for the help and advice.
