email program that uses least pc resources

been using outlook since i started working. for a while i tried windows live mail but didn't like it so moved back to outlook. now the thing is i'm concerned about the ram hog and want to know which email program to use? for a pop3 account. ps. the computers @ my work place are unstable, everyday a new problem appears & sometimes me & my brother are unable to fix it never know when they will die for permanent and taking backup of each is a pain in the @$$. and the pc i use here got only 1 gb ram (not enough). i backed up all the PST. and moved to Hotmail thing i hate about web based email is that the fonts are always messed up - and are viewed different on the other persons computer (tried gmail pop too-same issue with the fonts.)any suggestions appreciated. thanks

If you already use the Opera Browser it has email included so zero extra resources.
If you don't use it Opera is only a 10 MB download.

Alternative email program in 7
The users here can't stand WLM with its over-busy interface and buried everyday functions and so I found a nice simple email prog called Sylpheed. It is very easy to use and quick. It works fine with one exception. It is not listed in default program options ( like it didn't exist) and so if you...

HATE Windows Live. Simply hate it. I liked Vista's Windows Mail because you could edit forward emails and get rid of all the junk on the left side. What's another option for Email?
