Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Hey Mike,
It's all done, the computer is back to perfect working order! Restore was done, my taskbar is back, all disk errors were fixed and Malware is gone. I uninstalled Avast and everything ran perfectly. Thank you so much for all the help! It's like a brand new computer! Not to mention my original problem of the arrow/home/pg up ect keys being fixed, that was my main issue. You have no idea how happy I am! Now, onto setting up the new smart tv...hopefully it goes quick! Thank you again!

MS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit (Family Pack Lic.) Upgrade

Great, I'm so happy it went so quickly for you, Kate!

Your always welcome to come back here to Seven Forums and let us help you with anything, maybe even help someone yourself if you feel up to it!

If you didn't already do it you'll want some kind of anti-virus (a new install of avast may work fine, or rather than take any chances Look into Avira or Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) The later is always free and the former has both free and paid versions available. Just don't let this "scare you away from anti-virus protection" I's necessary these days. If it makes you nervous, try getting an infection (believe me - not even comparable in most cases) But I'm just reminding you of this, maybe you already are "on it"!

Congratulations again!

Already done! Installed MSE yesterday, love it! I had a bad virus last year, my a/v didn't pick it up and I didn't notice anything weird until the hard drive fried, hence the new laptop. Never making that mistake again!

E key and arrow keys working intermittently
Hello everyone.. The "e" key and arrow keys (not sure if there are others yet) are working intermittently. I either have to a) reboot the computer only to have it stop working again later, or b) wait for it to start working again on its own. The odd thing about this is that it doesn't matter...

Changing the Win+Arrow Keys?
I use those keys a lot and I dislike having to press two keys to change the windows. I want to know if there is a way to remap them to one button? (I was thinking of the F9 to F12 keys)
