ignat I didn't do that. I just went to control panel uninstalled Mozilla Firefox, then went to a website and downloaded that. Did that a couple of times, whenever someone told me too.
That's what you should do if you want to do a thorough reinstallation of Firefox.

That will give you a new Firefox profile, in addition to the new installation.

If you delete that Mozilla folder, your bookmarks and profile will be deleted.

I'm not telling you to do it. I'm just letting you know that is the way to get a fresh start with Firefox if you choose to do so. You would have to back up bookmarks first.

ok, I will do it. Now I did delete the folder or whatever was in control panel, so I take it that is not what you are talking about. I know I backed up bookmarks before, and it is probably on the slow computer forum. When I go to that forum, is there a way to find out what we talked about or do I have to scroll through 27 pages???

I would search the tutorials on this forum or type "backup firefox bookmarks" into the search window on this forum or type the same phrase into google.

Ok Ignat - I cannot believe I got on this site. I have been banned from this forum because I accidently put one of the emails in spam. I was able to get it out in time and say it wasn't spam, but cannot get a hold of the administrator. Out of all the subjects we have discussed, for some reason, I can get on this one. An administrator from another forum said I was activated for awhile. I cannot get on "slow computer" it gives me this error now:
PattiChati, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

What can I do - I have to remain on this forum. My computer still has gliches and I cannot start over with another forum. Can you help? Hopefully I can get back here. Otherwise, you can get me at PattiChatiatyahcom

I don't think you have been banned. Have you been notified you were banned?

If you had been banned, I don't think you would be able to post.

The other thread "slow computer" seems to have been removed. I don't think anyone can get to that thread. I'm not sure why it was removed---possibly because it was so long and drifting from one thing to another.

I have no idea what you mean by "I accidentally put one of the emails in spam".

If you were banned you would see the word "banned" underneath your name in your posts.

yes, when I first got on it said I was banned and never be able to get on again. I don't even know where we were in my firefox problems. I know we had gone in different places and deleted stuff. I guess I will have to wait a while and see what it is doing and get back to you.
When I said I put an email in spam - that is what they said. Actually it was an answer to one of my posts that I got notifed of and put that in spam, but quickly got it out. I am just glad I can get on here. Now if I go to my toolbar where I have Windows 7 forum there so I can quickly get on - I can't get on. I only got on by answering one of the posts I was notified of. Crazy, huh?

Hi PattiChati, this is because your account needs to be re-verified, go to your e-mail, click the Sevenforums re-activation e-mail and click the link to activate your account.

This is what I had to do.

    I just got an email that said I have been reactivated, so hopefully we are all set. I will just have to start a new thread. But as I told ignat - I am going to wait to see what all goes wrong with firefox, ok? Thanks and hope to get back to you soon. My daughter is pregnant and is having serious problems, so this isn't top priority today;

This is the only forum I can get on, the others say I have attempted too many times (which I only attempted once) then they have me fill out their little code and say again I have attempted too many times. Also when I say send my my activation email, they say they already have - but I have nothing from them. Any idea what is going on?
