desktop shortcut does not work at times

What happens when you click on a desktop shortcut and the web site does not show. It probably is there but hidden somewhere. After using it a few times it decides to hide and I have to reboot to make it work again. This particulat site happens to be eudora. How can I fix this.

    Hello dgudgel,

Do you mean that the web browser (ex: Internet Explorer) does not open to the site, or it opens and you do not see where the web browser window is??

Is the web browser's icon on the taskbar highlighted as if it was open?

I am talking about the email client Eudora. It does not open. Rather it probably opens but does not show on the desktop.l have to reboot for it to open and then just a few times. I uninstalled eudora then reinstalled it. Eudora installed the shortcut on the desktop. I just tried it for the first time and it didn't work. My browser is Google chrome. Maybe not using internet explorer has something to do with it. I am now setting internet explorer as my browser and rebooting. Eudora seems to use MAPI and not POP so what does that mean. In any case I am rebooting and giving it another try with internet explorer as the browser.

    dgudgel,

The web browser will not have anything to do with this. I was just asking for clarification on what you meant. That's all. :)

Is the Eudora icon on the taskbar and highlighted after you open/run from the desktop shortcut?

Does Eudora run, when you run the Eudora.exe file directly from the C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora folder?
