Latest Google Chrome dev build adds Windows 7 jumplist support

As you can see in the screenshot above, Chrome's jumplist works just like any other in Windows 7. Recently browsed sites are listed below those you pin to the list. Space is also reserved for quick access to recently closed tabs and opening new windows - both normal and incognito.

Yeah, Firefox really needs to add this. I like being able to use it on IE8, I don't really use Chrome though.

Only reason I used to go back to Firefox is because of the java problems Chrome had.

But they fixed that now so it's Chrome all they way.

I decided to try this out today...Chrome is definitely moving in the right direction with the addition of this, themes and extensions. I've been using it most of the day, and am impressed with it.

However, until some of my essential extensions make the jump (Xmarks, Multirow bookmark bar), I'm gonna stick with FF.

The newest dev build will use extensions if you add -enable-extensions to the end of the shortcut target. There aren't really many out there yet though, mostly Facebook and Gmail extensions.

You can check them out here: Chrome Plugins
