W7 64b Windows Live Mail transfer files to an older WinXP machine?

    Greetings,

My laptop has been totalled (dont ask) I have the HDD pulled and in a USB case.

    I was running i7 64 bit with Win 7 Home Prem 64b

My older machine I am not certain but pretty sure isnt new enough to run Windows 7 64 it has win xp home whatever it may run win 7 but i dont feel like buying it for that machine if it runs it wont run much shopping for a machine but not in a hurry

    1) can i download and run Windows Live mail on that computer with WinXP?

    2) will i be able to load my email files to that machine with that Win Live Mail?

the XP machine is a Dell Optiplex GX620 (which will be running again after i run to the PC store and get a new power supply tomorrow)

(By the way I have another win 7 machine which this email is written with its my wife's and we can't live with one computer between us)

    thanks so much

Use the "Download Now" button on the left side of this page: Windows Live Mail for Windows XP
Don't use the link on the right side of the page as that takes you to the Vista/7 versions.
