    Chrome tool bar customization

Installed Chrome 16.0912.63, and am happy with it except for one thing, would like to customize the toolbar so the forward/back arrows, refresh, home, etc. icons are on the right side of the screen. There seems to be very few toolbar options, or my searching is really really flawed...

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Hi 24c,

I've used Chrome for ages and as far as I'm aware there is no way to do that which is a great shame, it would be a really good feature.

That certainly is something Chrome lacks, lets hope Google will sort this out.

Hope I helped and Happy Christmas

The user Interface (UI ) in Chrome is very limited. AFAIK the only option for tooolbar is to have the home button show or not.
A couple of extensions are available that add mouse gestures & a Speed dial & you can change the look by using different themes.
You could try an alternative browser if this is important to you.
Opera has the most flexible UI of any browser , Firefox can also easily move buttons on the tool bars.

Thanks for the replies, and Holiday Greetings to you both.

Having used Chrome for awhile now, I have adapted to the not-much-customization situation. The performance has won me over. I have IE and FF installed, but use Chrome 99.99% of the time.

ETA - On the Toolbar, I right clicked on a folder, "Add folder...", dragged the New folder to the Toolbar at the left end and named the folder -------------. This moved everything to the right, 3 new folders and all other folders and bookmarks are as far right as possible. By adjusting the number of ---s in the name, or adding/deleting folders, I am able to get SOME location adjustment.

When one is really really bored, it is fun to see how many -----s you can add to the name before it shows up as ----.... This varies according to the number of New Folders you add to the Toolbar.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to you too! Chrome in my opinion is a fantastic browser, I left IE and FF ages ago.

I've recently found a chrome fork named Slimjet which offers fully customizable toolbar. You can add more buttons such as Print, history, downloads, etc. You can place the buttons on the left or right side as well. The site is http://www.slimjet.com if you want to check it out.
