    Browser Error, Server reset

I've just started using windows 7 and I am having trouble browsing the net. The wireless card and Outlook both register the net connection as being active and functional but firefox and IE will not browse. They return server reset while page loading errors. I've tried shutting off windows firewall and Avast but the problem persists. I've checked permissions in firewall and Avast and they seem fine. I've tried reseting the wireless card and it registers the connection without trouble, but browsers remain unresponsive. I've checked internet settings for proxy server etc and all settings seem ok. Any advice would be appreciated.

I notice your avast which is often at least a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace your Avast with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Thanks, You are correct. I just got off the phone with my companies support and it seems Avasts latest update has restricted my browser. I shut off the Web Shield and everything works now.
