can't figure out to forward an '.aspx' antimated photo

    Hi,

A friend of mine sent me an animated photo which really tickled by funny-bone.

As best I can see it is an '.aspx' file.

My problem is I can send the file but it is not animated when the recipient receives it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks and regards,

Can you open it IE? If not, try adding the menu bar option to IE first. Then use file>>open...>>browse from IE's menu bar to navigate to the file. I have several *.aspx files on my PC that have something to do with .NET. The testing that I've done so far indicates that if you tell IE to open it, it just tries to download and save it. Perhaps you can upload it so we can try your file. (Change the extension to something the forum will accept, if necessary.)

Yes ... I can open it with IE. However, if I send it to someone else it shows no animation.

A page with an .aspx extension is an ASP.NET page, and the work is actually happening at the server, not the client - meaning you can't forward the page itself (saved, etc) and have it work without the server behind it. You will have to forward a link to the site, so your friend can visit that page in his or her browser - an aspx page without the ASP.NET backend on the web server that served it is almost always useless.
