    Windows live mail problems

When I start WLM I get the inbox, then the sign-in screen, then the WLM "Checking for new mail on Hotmail", then a log-in screen for Hotmail. Entering the password in the Hotmail log-in & checking ok will remove the screen but then it returns. Cancelling it removes it. The WLM "Checking for new messages in Hotmail" now states "Some errors occured while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details." No errors are shown. I removed this by closing it. The WLM sign-in screen is still present, when the password is entered, it disappears. I still have the inbox with e-mails showing but not accessable. Has anyone had a problem like this and is there a fix for it? This is my first post & am new to the Forum. Thanks. brusk124

"I still have the inbox with e-mails showing but not accessable."

If the email is in your inbox it sounds like it has already been downloaded via Hotmail's DeltaSync protocol, described below, so I don't understand what you mean by "not accessible". What happens when you try to open an email in the inbox associated with your Hotmail account?

DeltaSync - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
" Using the DeltaSync protocol, Microsoft intends to provide a common platform for any compatible device to implement a client which can two-way synchronize mail, contacts, calendar and notes."

    Windows live mail problems

roncerr: The inbox in WLM shows (22) emails waiting but they will not open. I resolved the Hotmail signin password by using the "correct" password and then I checked The "remember this password login" box on both the WLM & the Hotmail boxes. These screens do not appear when I start WLM now, but the original problem still exists. The emails will not open. This PC is used by another person & I am trying to resolve the problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I"m not that familiar with Windows 7. Thanks. brusk124

    Hi brusk124,
Can you read the emails by going to your Hotmail account directly. Here's the link.
