How do i fix slow browsing on a netbook which hapens over WIFI

I have had this DELL Inspiron 1011 netbook for about 1 1/2 years now, its 1.93 ghz atom processor and runs on 2gb ram. When i first bought it, i had no problems using. Untill Recently, i have been experiencing slow browsing on this netbook when connected through wifi. Visits to webpages would load extremely slow, and would result in "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" error. I've tried moving it next to my router, but it made no difference. Seems like when i connect the laptop to my modem through the Ethernet wire the browsing is just fine and smooth.

I've also tried deleting history and cookies, running disk cleanup and defragmenter. CClean also does not help much.

Ive sent the laptop to my computer technician and he claims that he detected no problems with my netbook. He also claimed that he was able to download a 60mb file through his HSBB connection within 2 seconds.

Right now i'm unsure what to do, i'm eager to get this fixed and buying a new laptop is not an option for me, at least nor right now. Could anyone recommend me a fix? Would reinstalling the windows on this netbook work?

Reinstalling Windows might help, but that really depends if things are that badly messed up or the machine has virtually ground to a halt.

Wireless adapter settings should be examined.

Device Manager > List > Select Adapter > Right Click > Properties...

    Turn off power management.

Adjust properties to optimal settings otherwise.

If that doesn't fix it then post back and someone will help you with renewing your IP configuration and flushing your DNS cache...

@Qdos ive tried the options you suggested, including IP configuration and DNS flush and rebooted the pc after that. But i'm still experiencing slow browsing, and i'm still having the "the connection to the server was reset white the page was loading" error on certain websites, this includes when signing in/out of hotmail and yahoo. other websites also loads extremely slow, are there any solutions

Perhaps it's time to inspect the WiFi adapter and make sure it's properly seated and that the pigtail antennae cables are properly connected, it's usually under a small cover beneath the laptop and needs a tiny screwdriver to be got at...
