Windows XP live email problem with inbox view

SORRY I HAVE JSUT MADE A HUGE ERROR POSTING THIS INFO - IT'S LATE AT NIGHT - MY COMPANY EMAILS IS WINDOWS LIVE ON WINDOWS XP - MY HOME PC IS WINDOWS 7 !! SORRY AGAIN!!
Hello anybody who can help, this is affecting my PC at work but no-one can spare the time to help ! It is really frustrating and slowing me down and it is a small company and they haven't got much of an IT resource. One morning I logged on and even though I had never had problems previously, all of a sudden my Inbox was showing each email message from external companies to me (new and saved ones) as an Email attachment WITHIN an email; I have trawled through all of the settings and can't seem to find one that it would make sense to change to put right; except one day in sheer frustration I went to Internet options and chose "Restore all Defaults" and it went back to normal view for about 10 minutes then reverted again ! So I can read my emails but it is time consuming and they are slower to open now and I do rely on smooth email receiving and sending for my job; also attachments I am being sent(mainly pictures) are just showing up as a blank square. A clue; when I click into the attachment to read my email, the path link showing in the bar above points to a C: drive Internet temporary files folder. One more hint, my comapny have not given my office access to normal Internet sites so I don't know whether this is restricting me from fixing it msyelf? Grateful for any good help, can explain further if need be !! I know it is the responsibility of my company really but I'm getting impatient and frustrated; also as I have Windows Live email at home too, it might help in case it ever happens to me. Perhaps it is even a bug ? Thankyou for ANY advice!

This is part of the Windows Live Essentials package, correct. You could try a simple un-install and re-install of Windows live Mail or the entire Essentials package.

Thankyou for you r quick response ! I will try that this week and see how it goes. I presume nothing is lost in the uninstall and reinstall sequence? Anyway i will post if successful, (or not !) thanks again.
