I tried to search the following link to repair my WLM and it got no results in searching.
    C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Installer
Just follow the path in Windows File Explorer. The "Installer" subfolder contains two exe files. I think it's the wlarp.exe file that you would double click on.

I cannot find that folder, I am that literate in computerize. What is going on is that when I am viewing Windows Live Mail and deleting emails, the program locks up meaning that it is unresponsive to the cursor. A message appears reading that WLM is not responding.

Welcome to Seven Forums jeffs55. Have you looked in Programs and Features for Windows Live Essentials, like Roderunner and roncerr mentioned?

The more experienced users do it in 'Programs and features' by selecting WLE then repair.

    Look for Windows Live Essentials

That's right "Windows Live Mail" is not listed separately in Programs and Features. "Windows Live Essentials" is listed. That is what you highlight and click "uninstall/change" at the top to get the repair dialog. The repair actually applies to all the installed components of the Essentials package, including Mail.

I have found WLE in programs and highlighted it and then clicked "uninstall/change". When you highlight , it turns blue and then when you click "uninstall/change" it turns gray. Then there is nothing happening. I am sitting in front of the computer for at least as long it takes me to peck this out and nothing occurred and I do mean peck. I cannot type. The programs dialog box is still open and WLE is still grayed out with no signs of anything happening. A solid 10 minutes later, there is no sign of anything having occurred. Is there any visual sign of a repair occurring?

After an hour of waiting I have now returned home to find that the WLE in programs has reverted to a blue highlight and the problem with my WLM still persisists. Again, there is no indication that anything occurred during the repair attempt.

When you choose change/uninstall there should be a choice to Repair all Windows Essentials. It will look similar to this older image from the internet (it will not be Windows Live)

See below, the file shows as being here yet it is not found when I attempt to run. Also, as you suspected the first option was not there.

What version are you running? 2009, 2011, or 2012.

A new update was offered in the past few days, did you apply the update?

In your Start menu search box, type

    wlarp

and double click the application highlighted in the results list

Answer yes to the UAC prompt

This brings up the dialog window to repair or uninstall.
Select Repair all Windows Essentials programs.

wlarp= Windows Live Automatic Repair Program (Process?)

When I type in "wlarp" in the search box there are no matching items. I am running IE 11 and I just downloaded the updates and applied them. I am now at version 11.0.9600.16518, update version 11.0.3 KB2909921. I just opened WLM and was able to delete several emails without the program locking up. This is a first in a while and did happen after the update install. I am going to keep my fingers crossed. thanx and please stand by

Good news Jeff - thanks for the feedback

Fingers crossed - should be ok

This is really Vivie's thread, so if anything new crops up, please open a thread of your own to track the issue and the resolution.

    Thanks,
