My Yahoo home page and related yahoo pages won't display ads

My Yahoo home page and related yahoo pages won't display ads, does anyone know how to fix this. I have uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, restored advanced settings and reset internet explorer it worked for a short while after i did this now its playing up again. Really annoying, I get the usual diagnose internet connection and of course ther is nothing wrong with it. I forgot to say its windows 7 pro I am running, I would update to IE9 but I hate it if only they kept the layout the same as IE8
    Thank you in advance

Just Yahoo? If so it is probably their problem. They have lots of them. It may resolve or may not. That's the beauty of Yahoo.

If you see it on other sites then it is something with your system. Maybe a program you have is blocking ads from displaying. I know I had an issue with SpywareBlaster doing that.

I have spybot microsoft security essentials and kapersky internet security 2012. I tried uninstalling kapersky 2012 as I don't remember having that problem with Kapersky 2011. But when I unistalled it my gadgets were unable to display at all i could bring up the gadget bar and select a gadget and i think it was only a help and information button that appeard where the gadget should have and when i clicked on the help or information button nothing happened and yes it is only yahoo related pages all others are ok it's just annoying as i use yahoo as my home page.

I hear you about Yahoo. I also use it as my homepage. I constantly notice all kinds of problems and I'm sure it is on their end. Back to your problem.

Do you have TeaTimer enabled which is part of Spybot? I think it places certain sites in Restricted and that could cause problems. Try disabling it and see if it helps. If it does you may want to find the specific site that is causing the conflict. Check restricted sites in Tools>Internet Options>Security>Restricted Sites.
