Cannot create new folder in outlook 2010

    Hi,

When i try to create new folder in outlook 2010 it fails and i'm getting the following message: "Outlook cannot read the registry information". (see attached file)
I reinstalled office couple of time, but nothing work. I also went over a lot of posts regarding to this issue, without any success. Do you have some ideas, how to go forward with it without reinstall windows 7?

    Thanks,

    Itzik

    Hello,

Do you have local admin rights? Are you using an exchange server? If so which version?

Can you login as another user and see if they can create a new folder? Where are you trying to create the folder, is it in your mailbox?

    Hi Dave,

thanks for the quick response. I'm using the outlook at my work and my user has admin permission on my laptop. I think that my account is on 2003 exchange server.
I've tried to login as another user, but i get the same message. I tried to create the folder on my personal folder and on my mailbox and it fails on both of them.

    Hi Itzik,

Have you tried the Microsoft Diagnostics tool?

    Hi,

Microsoft removed the diagnostic tool from office 2010.

You are correct, sorry I thought it was Office 2007.

Have a look at the following:

If you make changes to the registry then export the keys first, just incase.
