Changing Search Engine in FireFox

FireFox 10, automatically uses Bing, when typing something in the address bar for searching ? I searched FireFox site and came across the about:config, I can't find any option within the configuration file or the options within the program ?

about:config trick is the only official way in Firefox to edit address bar search provider.
(Sponsors pay money to be there, and they do not want you to change it on your own).

Btw, today the latest stable version is Firefox 11.0

Golden's answer is for that little side search panel only.

If you want to change search engine in address bar itself please consult the following links:

Golden's method is how I got Google on mine. No other links need to be accessed.

Search Engine ?
Hello, Is there a free, or inexpensive, search engine that will search the text in the documents in all my files, and not just by file name ? In other words, literally searching every text word on PC, wherever it might be, looking for a match. Thanks, Bob

A horrible search engine called Bueno Search installed itself in my system. It is riddled with spyware and viruses and adverts and other garbage. How can I delete it?

I have used Google Toolbar on Firefox for a couple of years. I got a Firefox Update today and Google is no longer compatible with Firefox. I have tried a few other search engines like Bing and they are also not compatible. What Search Engine Toolbar do you have on Firefox? Thanks,
