Do you have any idea what happened when I updated Live Mail and nothing worked???

I currently have Build #15.4.3538.0513 and not sure what the update was for but it screwed up everything!!!

Windows 8 Pro w/MC 32-bit

sfc /scannow
check disk
uninstall (or repair) Windows Live Essentials (Programs and Features)
reinstall Windows Live Essentials (if uninstalled first)

Also might be good to do a malware scan (Microsoft security essentials or their Offline Defender).

This should not affect your appdata contents like messages or contacts but it would not hurt to save the "Windows Live Folder" someplace else just to be safe if you have messages you downloaded and don't want to loose. (They can be reimported later if necessary.)

Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit

Thanks roncerr but I have done all of that and still have the errors.......ON BOTH COMPUTERS!!

I am losing confidence in Microsoft since it was problematic before and there have been periodic problems before now!! I have fought it for a year or more!!

Against my will I am using Gmail as my "hub" and 3 other clients are being imported to it......this really SUX!!

Sorry and thanks again for your input!!

Since nobody, including Microsoft's Techs, has replied to me about the Live Mail problems I have uninstalled Live COMPLETELY and unless Gmail lets me down miserable WILL NEVER use Live Mail again.....PERIOD!!

Microsoft has a great idea but nobody wanted to refine it to stay ahead of the others....OH WELL......I may try a MAC next, who knows??

Thanks to all those who offered assistance......I truly appreciate it!!
