if you guys haven't tried it, you should.
Firefox's new [release planned for June '12] 64-bit browser is a huge leap ahead, performancewise and in many critical "under-the-hood" ways.
Give it a shot.
I've been wanting a serious alternative to Chrome and I think we now have it - at least "in the making".

How about a link if you have nightly 64bit? Only one I have seen is a rogue alpha.

It is rock stable, with one exception: if you click customize and you have the VideoDownloaderExtension, the browser will crash. The same goes for x86 nightly too, though.
x64 can still be fetched from the official Nightly page - you have to go to Other Nightly Builds (FTP) link, and go to latest-trunk folder (it's near the end of the list).
They moved it from the main page because more than half of Nighty users installed the x64 build, which they didn't like because its not really managed and supervised, they have no real people 'working on it', so to say. The x86 is the one they debug, de-crash and supervise.
I've been averaging about three updates per day pushed from them.
today I've had more than that, but that's unusual. the typical is a couple late in the day and one overnight that I see when I'm up at dawn
I had issues with the x86 build. not sure they can overcome the poor use of memory and script-crashes. pretty consistently, after running with a lot of windows/tabs open for a couple of hours FF would bog down to the maddening point, requiring a wipeout restart. failing scripts would bring it to a halt also. not so on nightly.
I would highly recommend Opera except for what I consider a "thou shalt not" fault or two: it has an unforgivable bug that its user community says has persisted version after version: it inexplicably loses or fails to invoke saved credentials. no fix for it to my knowledge.
it also is very troublesome in importing bookmarks.
HOWever, it handles big loads without breaking a sweat and in real use, its as fast as anything out there at the moment, and quite stable. but I can't deal with something that is buggy on credentialing
