Fixing Windows Live Mail Signature Images
I have new computer with Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail.
I have an animation that is normally part of my automatic email signature. I have tried to set up the signature on WLM and end up with red "x" in. gif box and the text below. No animation. I've found a couple of sites on the net that address this "problem" but alas, they aren't quite specific enough for my limited skills.
These are the instructions I am trying to follow:
I need to replace the cid: location with the file's path for my image.
I can follow the instructions until it comes to opening my HTML signature file on Notepad.
I am able to locate the line with src="cid:
I remove everything between the quotes.
I am supposed to append that path with a slash and the file name i.e., \logo.png
Does that mean I give my animation a "new" name ...or would it be \my animation's name.gif
Has anyone on this forum tried to made this kind of a signature with WLM and perhaps made up a tutorial that would easy for your mother to follow?
Thank you in advance for you assistance.
