Welcome to Seven Forums LERLNZ. The contacts are store as a contacts.edb file in either
C:\Users\<windows username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\default\15.4\DBStore
or
C:\Users\<windows username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\default\15.5\DBStore
depending on your version. The DBStore is a hidden folder, so you would have to set Windows to show hidden folders
Hidden Files and Folders - Show or Hide
You can export your contacts as a .csv file
Windows Live Mail - Export and Import Contacts
Now you can import the .csv file to Outlook

However, as A Guy points out, you should do an export from within the contacts folder of WLM; you don't need to find the exact path to the data base.
Thanks rocerr and A Guy for replying. I may not have specified my issue clearly. It is not the Contact folder that I wish to export but the email address autocomplete file.
This is the file that is used by WLM to complete email addresses when you start to type an email adress for a email if you have entered it previously it will give you the options of email addresses that you have entered that satisfy the characters entered.
Outlook up to 2010 staored this information in a .nk2 file. What I am doing is transferring from WLM to Outlook. I have transferred email and contacts and it is the information to insert into the NK2 file I need.

Ahhh, I use no email programs myself. I just assumed once the contacts were imported, the program would start to populate the autocomplete. I see what you wanted, to not have to populate. A Guy
