Um, When you say "Everybody else" do you mean MyFriend@yahoo, MyFriend@AOL, MyFirend@Gmail
or do you mean MyFriend@anywherebutYahoo
or do you mean everyone besides Yahoo Customer Care
I'm just trying to narrow the possibilities
send a screen shot of the mail that is weird.

I called my server tech support about the yahoo email.
I was told to update my window live mail.
I have updated windows live essentials when prompted, but I don't know how to do mail.
The tech said my problem was I did not have the font installed that yahoo was using.
Sounds like a crock to me...............
I see twow providers To:ATT and From:STI, but no Yahoo, so it's confusing on this side. BTW, brother & sister, Father & daughter? Two kings....
Ya know what, i don't know where the logs are either. Try searching C:\ - use the neato keeno type:log keyword:value pair in the search box on explorer. It's probably in your AppData\Local\Microsoft\Window Live Mail folder, but it might be in the Windows tree.
Yep, there is a learning curve to Win7 - after two months, I'm getting used to the differences. I like most, some..... I dunno - but it's only been two months - lol
Here is what I get from anyone sending from a Yahoo web site. Of course I removed the email addresses.......... b=OlgD2k3qs3QPTcM2TSCwohrkqLNaaOBsQ6Ls+H3oyV8nwpsfAoymUHkKweq+wmXOHdiZ13nfgl3DErwaU0Y4JrcqkBfwEbw9mE hmhYpDSi0XRPKOl4Rc05oklTlWFSCXQ/pHAx13XHwOEtX9eVL1a5pPf3uqNz6ycnZqBE1Ba2c=;

Awww, kittens!
As I delve through the your example I see that the msg originates in Yahoo Web mail. I did not understand this at first and was looking for yahoo.mail POP server information.b=OlgD2k3qs3QPTcM2TSCwohrkqLNaaOBsQ6Ls+H3oyV8nwpsfAoymUHkKweq+wmXOHdiZ13nfgl3DErwaU0Y4JrcqkBfwEbw9mE hmhYpDSi0XRPKOl4Rc05oklTlWFSCXQ/pHAx13XHwOEtX9eVL1a5pPf3uqNz6ycnZqBI'll need to see how the msg is encoded. Here's an eMail to me from Utne Reader. Note the difference in the header info, where my example begins with "Apparently-To:" and your example seems to begin later in a header, in the "DKIM-Signature:" section (b=)

AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\WindowsLiveMail.log found by going there. either I missed it or Search missed it.
I'm having a learning curve with search as well as all of the other new things. I think I'll try the "use natural language search" and see if I get better results.
Well how 'bout that!
Make sure you turn off logging - hope Mona Lisa did that.
That was fun. Found some other "bugs" in the logs, I'll put them up in another thread. Basically, there were thousands of c++ errors in the log. Guess where I found the answer? Here - a sister forum - I love these guys!
I have to wait to see if that simple solution fixes the Mysterious empty folders in AppData\Local as well.
Thanks Mona Lisa - your issue was solved and perhaps an unrelated issue that was bugging me was as well. More tomorrow in the thread I'll post.
Hey You! - if you return to this thread - could you mark it solved? Thanks again.
up top Mark as Solved
Mona Lisa, is this thread solved?
note-to-self: The Calendar.edb repair did not solve the Mystery folder issue - darn!
Looking at Writer/Mail integration for that solution plus the teflon(non-sticky) navigation pane issue (moving position of Accounts, Outbox, Storage Folders - reverts to default on restart WLM). This will be a new thread when a full solution is available.
I thought I marked my issue solved. Anyway it boiled down to the fact the last update to AVG protection made it incompatiable to windows 7-64bits. It would send the yahoo message to my server junk mail which in turn sent it in raw form to my mail box. By changing over to Microsoft Security Essentials free version the problem was solved. Again thanks for your help!
