Have internet access but cannot open browsers

I am having an issue that I hope someone will be able to help me resolve. At my workplace I have internet access but I am unable to open any web browser. Every other employee at my store is able to get online with no issues. We all have Windows 7. The thing that I find really odd is that I can open a browser everywhere else I go, it is only at my store that I seem to have this problem. Anyone know what it might be?

Does the Network icon in the system tray have a red "X" in it?
Are you trying to use Wi-Fi?
If Wi-Fi, have you selected the correct signal and were you offerred the chance to enter a name and password?

It is wireless. I do have my correct username/password. Its not a matter of internet access though. I have internet access. I am connected online but cannot open any browsers. The gentleman who works for our provider came down and checked out my computer and told me that its not an internet connection issue. He said its a browser issue which he isn't familiar with. His guess is that there is a firewall up somewhere but he couldn't figure it out.

When you say "cannot open any browsers", do you mean they simply don't open their user interface, or they don't go online/can't browse to any sites?

I believe they just cannot go online to browse any sites. When I open Firefox and Internet Explorer they both try to load and then say that they are unable to display the webpage.

OK - when you open a cmd prompt and execute "ipconfig /all", what output do you get for the active network interface? I am interested in the IP address and DNS server(s), specifically.

Please report the matter to your Network Administrator. If he has not knowingly blocked you then he should be able to help you out.

First of all, uninstall your current browse and after that once you try install properly and restart your pc.
