Hi Neil, welcome back to your own thread.
2 questions, first, do you trust the other person using WLM.
Finally, start using WLM 2009 version, its a far better build.

Not sure what you mean by "Account" since you can have dozens of email accounts (pop3, imap, or http) all sharing the same contact list. That list in the "contacts" window of WLM would either be the one you see/use when signed-in to a LiveID or the one you see/use when not signed-in with any LiveID.
Hi Guys thanks for replies, what I mean by accounts, accounts in windows ie differnt users, the second a/c user is the wife it's her contacts that unaccessable.
I have tried setting up another user but encounted another problem in this one the contacts was accessable but without any contacts yet to be put in but should be able to import the from a back up, but could get not the web browers to open there wasn't IE in the programs list anywhere, still trying.
thanks
Neil
OK There are 3 types of "accounts":
The Windows c:/users/<username> account;
The LiveID Account(s) (for "signing-in" to Windows Live services);
The email account(s) you install in your email program (like WLM).
My guess is you and your wife want your 3 accounts to be separate even though you may be sharing the same PC. So at a minimum the two of you will be using 6 accounts (2 of each of the 3 types) assuming you want to be able to "sign-in". This would also be the case if you had separate computers.
So I guess the problem needs to be explained also in terms of the parts of WLM that you are using in her Windows account (i.e. signed-in or not-signed-in). The latest (mandatory) update seems to have caused problems with the "not-signed-in" contact list for those users that depend on it. Avoiding lost contacts is the bigest advantage of signing-in since they will reappear as soon as you sign-in to WLM.
Hi I have fixed the problem, not quite sure how but it does everything we need now, so keeping fingers crossed.
thanks for your help.
