    That's what I wanted, that's the 2009 version. :)

If you give me a few minutes I'll install that and try and get your problems sorted.

Yeah, that's the old version, this look more like yours?

    It doesn't have a ribbon.

That's it! But I don't have a division down the cener of the page like you show. That is the version that just showed up after it kicked out my "ribbon," which originally appeared when first downloaded. I don't know what I did to make it go away.

There is no ribbon on the 2009 version, WLM 2011 has a ribbon.

OK, then. That is just Twilight Zone stuff. I swear I didn't make up the ribbon! I saw it with my own eyes. Nevertheless, I seem to be coping without it. I'm so glad you were able to solve the mystery.

Are you up for the double-contacts & "pps-less email" dilemmas tomorrow?

Sure, we can work on that tomorrow. :)

I'm not sure but it sounds like your computer guy might have changed your WLM, you have to get the one you have from a secondary website.

I don't know why he would put that on there though.

That's peculiar as he likes to think he's up-to-date on everything. He doesn't (and hasn't ever) used any Microsoft mail programs, however, and may not have known there was a later version available. Do you think it's worth it to download a later version? Would that solve the weird problems I'm having? To wit, the double-entry contacts list and the inability to open a pps file? I am doing OK with it otherwise.

Some people prefer the version you have, if you want the ribbon you should probably update.

The double contacts might be easier to delete from your live account, the one you set up in the other thread.

I'm still trying to replicate your pps problem, did you say you had powerpoint installed or just the powerpoint viewer?

Sorry for the delay. Went out to eat....

I deleted all of the extra contacts from my list, but they still show up in duplicate when I forward something. When I click on "TO:" I have two names, even though I've deleted the duplicate in the list.

I have Microsoft Power Point Viewer. I set it as the default program. It's not the 2007 version; I think it may be 2011. Maybe that's the problem?
