My hotmail address has been blocked !! HELP & URGENT ! TQ ~

Oh no!!!my hotmail suddenly give blocked . ,wanna try to get back myself but i also forgotten my old email password ,cant get the code and fill in .Any 1 know customer care services number or email ?Please HELP !! i had alot of important mail inside !!! Appreciation to everyone .. This is what they show me as below :

    *Why are you seeing this?
Someone may have used your account to send out a lot of junk messages (or something else that violates the Windows Live Terms of Service).
We're here to help you get your account back
*What do you need to do?
We'll walk you through a few steps to verify that you own the account, then ask you to change your password in case someone else has been accessing your account. It should only take a few minutes and then you'll be unblocked and on your way.
Tip: You can also unblock your account by signing in from a computer you registered with Windows Live (EDISON-PC).
    *We've cleaned your account settings
Often customers get here because someone else has access to your account and is using it without your knowledge to send spam. To protect you and your contacts, we've removed any Hotmail auto-replies or linked accounts you may have had.

    Follow this tutorial: https://account.live.com/ResetPasswo...3d1300&lc=1033

Full scan your computer with your updated antivirus software to make sure there are no viruses on it.

This problem would be something you talk to the hotmail team about. Hopefully that tutorial gives you something useful.

Hello and welcome to the forums EdisonedW,

This exact problem happened to me to sometime ago.

All i had to do was to follow the steps to verify my account and since i had registered my mobile phone number with them for verification purposes, all i had to do was to ask them to send me a verification code via SMS on my phone.

Once i got the code on my phone (in minutes), I just had to input it into the verifcation box, and after that was asked to type in a new password in place of the old one and to reconfirm it.

I finally got my account back after that.

Here's the Microsoft Support FAQ on this issue:-

You should be able to skip that part. Look for a small text link that allows you to skip it. You can then set up an additional email account that you could use in case you forget a password to one.

If your account is currently blocked, follow the previous posts in this thread. If nothing works, contact hotmail or their forums.

    Same thing

My hotmail account got hacked and everything was in arabic or some other language.
I tried logging in the next day and it wont even allow me to login.
i did not have access to the alternate email address and i filled out several forms to no avail.
they all came back saying i havent given enough information etc.
I have got it fixed now but the question is what can i use to keep myself safe since this internet is like full of people who want to get into someone's personal details. i got it fixed by going to www.hotmailhelp.co.uk
can anyone tell me which is the best antivirus and what steps should i take to ensure this doesnt happen.

Hello Sarah, and welcome to Sevenforums. This thread has been solved for another person, and often times the best way to get help is to create your own new thread instead of using an old one.

But I will help you out as best I can

First off, never open email from people you don't know, or suspicious mail. Even if it takes every muscle in your body to resist the urge to check it. Protecting yourself may be as simple as refusing to open a document or (email automatically) opening a picture. That is a big step in protecting yourself from malicious viruses and other harmfuls that effect your computer. You might enjoy Microsoft Security Essentials as an antivirus program to try: Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows - use the full scan right after it is installed to check for any thing potentially dangerous that may be on your computer.

If you do use an antivirus program currently, only use one. Two antiviruses installed at the same time on your computer often conflict with each other. You will need to remove the previous one first.
    • Uninstall all other antivirus programs. Sometimes these programs must use a removal tool downloaded off of the very site that sells the program. For example, if you use Norton antivirus, you may find the Norton removal tool on the same website that will remove the antivirus program you didn't want. Sometimes other trusted sites will allow you to download such a tool for free, such as majorgeeks or cnet
Oh, and stay away from anything in Arabic. That side of the world is getting increasingly jacked up. First news item concerning the subject pulled this: http://au.news.yahoo.com/entertainme...annels-survey/
