Speeds/Requirements for Firefox and Chrome to run smoothly?

    Hello,

So, for the longest of whiles, I have had Google Chrome installed as my default browser. Recently I had a problem with Google Chrome, that made me switch for Firefox as my default browser. After I reinstalled Chrome, the problem was fixed and I could use it. But the thing is, i'd often get a lot of lag from both of them. So are there any system requirements or updates I need to make Firefox and Google Chrome lag free and easier to use?

    Regards,

Here's what i've found for the minimum requirements for both.

Chrome: Windows XP (or later), Intel Pentium 4 (or later), 128Mb RAM

    Firefox: " ", " ", 512Mb RAM

Chrome system requirements - Google Chrome Help
    Mozilla Firefox 14 System Requirements

As far as the lag, I have no idea. You didn't mention anything about IE, so I would see if it does the same also. Hope this helps you out a bit.
