    Fx or Opera FTW.

I use Fx b/c I have it heavily customized (both the UI as well as in terms of extensions), and I have my profiles on a non system hard drive, meaning I can format, install W7 again, then install Fx and point it to the existing profile, and *poof* everything is there. Opera is not very user friendly for making profiles exist in non-standard locations, hence my main (and honestly, only) gripe about it.

I believe that Fx = FireFox. If I'm wrong please correct me.

I use IE8 because I like it and sometimes Maxthon2 which is very fast.

    Here we go again

Firefox because it has almost any extension you could want, becuase its configurable (anout:config, and profile location), because it works and doesn't break other browsers (like IE "auto detect settings").

I also like that you can backup and restore profiles at will or scheduled.

Most of all I like it because it works, and works, and works

    Hello Ken,

Up to very recently I would have agreed with you 100% and for the very same reasons

However since the 3.5 version release I have been having more and more minor Issues

I am now starting to give Opera a long term trial and so far am finding it very good.

Only two minor things at the moment -

the opera version of the sidebar does not auto hide/appear like the AIOS one in FF - think it may be possible but need to play with the mouse gesture options.

The other one is forum related - for some reason the "change editor mode" button isn't available in the post editor and is stuck in non WYSIWYG mode - not a breaker issue but weird

Making a double post as this may help other Opera users

It appears that the WYSIWYG issue with opera is a known issue with Vbullitin with no WYSIWYG support available in Opera.

*However In opera 10 I have set the site preferences to "identify as Firefox" and everything appears to be working*

Interesting, if I get time later I'll see if I can get the site to do that by default.
