It's come back noooo .
Sorry?
I would suggest a repair or a clean install of windows, like I did on the other thread with 17 pages.
Sorry but these things are not easy to get rid of.
Hello, got 'attacked' by the babylon s**t some time ago (don't even know how it got installed), as far as I remember: got rid of it by deleting any occurence with regedit, deleting all babylon related results using the 'containing text' search in Agent Ransack, then did some cleaning up in FF (about:config). Sorry, can't be more detailed, was a long time ago, but it's 100% gone. Good luck.
Hmmm I'll give it a go thanks guys for your help, will see if i can do it :), and I don't really feel like re-installing my machine atm again lol.
Yep take 4WD Advice delete all related files from program files/data app data temp and common files after doing so run a reg cleaner such as CCleaner to remove any broken reg edits. It may also pay to do a scan such as superantispyware SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
In some cases you will be unable to delete related files if this happens just boot in safe mode and delete them from there. Not sure if this is one of them cases, like 4WD this happen to me a long time back to just one of them things
Hope this is of some help
Sorry if I missed something but I had the same problem about a week ago.
While Firefox is open go to the little emblem where the search box is and tick on it. Go to manage search engines and remove the ones you don't want. Reboot and then search and see if anything is still around. I use Search Everything to do that.
Caution: If you use Search Everything be very careful it does go into the registry. Now I got AVG Search engine to get rid of.
Hey I have had some successs with Revo and even using the regedit to find the entries for h tihs and other wrteched add ons that come with apps like CC.
I just go to the HKEY entries / Software / seek out the offending folder and just delete the whole darn thing.
You just need to be vigilant.
