How do you make links change color after clicking

Can you make links change color after clicking on them so if you have a long list you will know where you are at.

What browser are you talking about? Most all have the ability to set the color of visited links in their setup menus. In IE it is in Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Colors. In Firefox Tools -> Options -> Content -> Colors.

But the default color schemes on these browesers should already change colors of links when visited.

Some sites, if you go back to the page with the back button, you may need to refresh to see the link change,

GeneO sorry about not stating IE 9. I followed you instructions and set the colors I wantd to use ok all the way out but it had no effect. Like when I go to CNN there may be 25 links and I forgot where I have been. When I click on a link the way it is now when I click on a link the first on I click on lightens just a tad and the rest do not change at all. Is it possible it would restart after making changed? Thanks. Sammy Castagnaa
