    Hello,

    Welcome to the forum.

Did you download firefox from its home page?

Did you restart after uninstalling it? (Not necessary) But in some cases it works.

Download Ver 14.0.1 from the link below, but Reboot your computer before installing.
    Download Firefox 14.0.1 - FileHippo.com

Also do you have Ccleaner installed?
Go to the Registry tab | Scan for issues | Fix selected issues | You will be prompted for keeping a back up, hit yes if you do, if not hit no and Fix all selected issues. Reboot then try install firefox.

    Do post back results.

    I downloaded firefox from filehippo.
I did restart after uninstalling it.

    Scan before uninstalling FF15

    Scan after uninstalling FF15

I installed FF14 from filehippo. Firefox is running normally now but it is add-on free.

I re-installed Microsoft Security Essentials too.

    So is your problem solved?
You might have to download your addons again.

I will download the add-on "foxmarks'' and run a test.

    Sure.

If you still have problems, I would suggest you download any older version which worked flawlessly for you from the same link of filehippo.

Some updates on softwares rather mess than fix or get better.

    Sorry, missed that.
Probably there's a bug with the latest version and I think you should just stick with version 14 till a new one comes out.
Btw, did this addon work okay with the earlier versions you used? Let me know.

I'll try calling for more help.
