Oh too bad Robin! I can't use my printer. But I do have Adobe Reader 11. So I won't be able to follow the instructions. I'll see if I can get another forum to help me with this. Thanks anyway. :) Adela

BTW, I scanned with Malware Bytes anti-malware and the 2 objects it found were the two times I tried to copy it to my Word: PUP.Optional.Ins...file (C:\Users\Adela\download\PDFReaderSetup).

You have the exe pdfsetup reader in your download folder? That is not adobe reader. But why don't you just download the pdf , open it then write down the instructions or copy it to an external hard drive and bring it to someone who can print it for you?

btw you should go into your download folder and delete pdfreaderSetup
also you really cannot copy a pdf into Word
If you are using Office 2013 and you click on File/open and go to where you downloaded my pdf- it will convert the pdf into word
No other office program does this so I do not know what you were trying to do, that is why malwareybtes might have tried to grab it.
I am putting it in here again if you need to re download it

I'm confused Robin, I have Adobe Reader 11 in my Programs where you go to uninstall or repair. I learn that this is the one that permits me to open PDF. I forget how to get to the download folder. Please tell me and I'll do what you say, but I deleted them when the anti malware showed them. Are they still in the download folder?

I'm using Office 2003 Pro. Well, thanks but if I can't copy it to my Word I don't need to download it again do I? I didn't know that it was illegal to copy instructions to my Word.

    As to:

I'm sorry I don't have the facilities for doing that. I'll try to go to the download folder and find and delete it as you want, but I won't be able to do it soon as I'm on Grand Jury Duty which is delaying many things in my life now. Give the info I need and I'll do it as soon as I can. Adela

if the file is not in your download folder then Malwarebytes removed it when it quarantined it.
it would be in Your username/Downloads in Explorer.
Word 2003 does not allow you to copy a pdf file into it, only word 2013 does.
you need to open my pdf and save it to a folder of your choice like in My Documents or the Download folder. if you know anyone that has a pc and printer then you can copy the pdf to a flash drive and bring it to their computer where you can then print it out

Hello Robin, I wanted to do all the backup and upgrading today but got sidetracked with trying to resolve more problems on 2011. So now I decided to do it despite all those new glitches, and I went to 8 Forum to copy your nice PDF to my Word so I could consult it as I go along, but....when I opened the copy on Word it was all garbled and/or written in Oriental language. I tried to look for the USA English but didn't work either. Adela
Hi Robin, long time no see you I know, but only yesterday I took enough courage to backup and to upgrade to WLMail2012 from 2011 (didn't use your PDF). But all my old glitches still exist in the new version! The worst of them all is the following because it doesn't allow me to write messages and hope you have some idea about this particular glitch?:

Reminder: Dell desktop, Win7, WLMail2011 (just upgraded to 2012), Firefox]

My screen scrolls (rushes!) down to the bottom taking all my typing with it, every 5 or 10 minutes, daily!

I try to bring the text back up...only for it to rush back down in 2 seconds again! I have to do all of this several times until (by miracle) it stops, then I must hurry to finish the message and send it out. It also affects Word AND many websites, causing like a tsunami with windows flying in and out all over, the cursor quivering, unmanageable!!!

With anticipated big thanks for any ideas about this particular thing, Adela

P.S. Robin, if you live in NYC or know an honest/competent techy in NYC please let me know as I have so many glitches that I need someone in person to fix all the problems at once. I have difficulty following tech instructions. Thank you.

Hi Robin I put my addy and phone # in your site. I wish you lived in NYC as I really want to put my computer into the proper condition once and for all. The many glitches, especially the one that screen scrolls down to the bottom in one second, just don't let me work at all. Adela

Hello Robin, it's been a long time. Needed a lot of time to gather up courage to reinstall the WLMail and upgraded it to 2012 too (from 2011). This action hasn't solved the problem.

After a long time of searching for an honest and competent techi for in-home work, I think I found one. He came to diagnose my computer by doing an off line scan for virus, spies, etc. He told me he tested and did some other things too and didn't find anything wrong with the computer. So he suggested a Windows reinstall.

My question to you today, and any other expert here, is: Are there any other tests or steps to be done BEFORE taking that big step as far as you can tell?

Will appreciate enormously if you and/or others could enlighten me about this matter. Thanks so much! Adela

If he found nothing wrong, no viruses, no trojans, nothing and the only thong wrong is WLM, then whynot just go to another email program, you could use your live account and just log into the web browser account at live.com and use it that way. This way all your contacts and emails will still be there, instead of wiping windows and starting over
