New tab thumbnails don't show in Firefox

    Firefox 15.0.1

When I open a new tab the thumbnails flash for a split second, but then disappear to leave a blank page. It worked previously, but I don't recall if I already had version 15 then.

I read that this may be caused by a full cache, so I cleared it, but even after visiting several sites after that nothing shows. Firefox is set to remember history.

    Hi Stevenvh,

I like FF also, leme tell you what I just done.

I use win 7 x64, you too have a win 7 64bit OS, so it should work for you too if you do it.

I just downloaded & installed Pale Moon a 64 bit browser and very similar to FF in the GUI but Firefox is created with maximum compatibility in mind, Pale Moon is created with efficiency and speed in mind.

When I installed it, first thing I went to youtube to see it handle flash, it did fine and works with netflix too and netflix uses Silverlight. I read that the adobe 64bit flash will only work with 64bit win 7 so it should work with you.

It's new to me, but it's a native 64bit browser and I like it. It's here Pale Moon - x64 builds

edit: i just saw you're from Belgium, you may want to read on it because there might be language issues.

Thanks for the reply, Kevin, but for the rest I'm perfectly happy with Firefox, and the problem is not that bad that I would want to switch to another browser for it. But thanks anyway.

    Hey Steve,

In FF go to Options>Tabs and toward the bottom there is a dropdown menu to choose what opening a new tab does, check it out.

Sometimes my programs forget their settings, so I would have to reset them.

Remember I said Pale Moon was just like firefox in the interface, I remembered that PM has the feature you talked about so I checked it and here ya go.

    Hopes this helps.
