    accessing pdf file on a web page


    Hi can someone advise, have windows 7 pro, when on internet viewing for example a website for a restaurant, web page ok, but when click on menu on a pdf file, page does not display, but windows media player opens, but no path or prompts what to do to view, any suggestions ?

    Hello Barry and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You probably need to install a separate PDF reader. Two free readers that are recommended are Foxit and Nitro. (They are both much smaller and faster than Adobe Reader which for years was the standard.)

    Caution: suggest using the custom install feature and not the default standard or express. The default installs will usually add unwanted tool bars and miscellaneous "stuff" you really don't need. The custom install allows you to UNselect those unwanted additions.

    Chrome can also read on-line PDFs.
