    yes my android phone is connected, no problems.
    my desktop is hard wired to the router. with no problems. windows 7
    I have wii on wifi
    just windows firewall
    I tried chrome but didn't like it
    I have tried without add ons
    when I wrote this a few months ago I had verizon fios I have since changed to comcast with a lynksys router but it made no differance

    I see so your desktop is fine and it's just the laptop?

    You could try opening the command prompt (type CMD in the start menu, right click cmd.exe and select run as administrator).

    Then entering the following commands:
    netsh winsock reset catalog
    netsh int ip reset

    Failing those:
    sfc /scannow

    Probably best to do a Malware bytes scan too if you have not already.

    This will reset the windows TCP/IP tables and winsock providers in case they are corrupted.

    I did a malware scan and it found this "trojan agent c/windows\svc host.exe" ??

    Ignore the logs, try the steps outlined here:
    c:\Windows\svchost.exe (Trojan.Agent) - BleepingComputer.com
