Roderunner, I don't understand your last post...
In WLM if I am in the email list and Ctrl-A everything selects like it's supposed to, Ctrl-click will not deselect like it does in every Windows based list that I have ever used before.

Is WLM the only program with this issue, or do other programs have the same problem?
    Yes...
Any programs that have select all will deselect w/Ctrl-click, Windows file listings
    also.
I have done a WLE download, a WLE repair install, and an sfc /scannow....nothing so far.
It sounds like it's not a system problem, just a WLM problem.
The only other i can think of is to try an un-install and re-install WLM.

Here is a thread i found about a complete WLM un-install using Fixit.

I had a really hard time getting my WLM set up (server problems, etc) and I'm really reluctant to uninstall.

I understand and I'm not telling you to re-install, it was a suggestion.
It's your PC and your choice.

You might consider capturing screen prints of your email configuration.
That way if you ever have to re-install Windows, get a new PC, etc. you have that info.

Understood. Thanks for the tip. I appreciate the info and will keep it in case I need it later. I guess I'll live with the problem as long as possible before I try a reinstall.
