How do i remove multiple favorite folders?

Hi everyone i am having a heck of a time removing multiple folders from my IE9 favorites. I reimported my current favorites from Firefox and i have multiple folders that i cannot erase. They initially are removed, but upon restarting IE they reappear at the bottom of the favorites. See first screenshot

I have right clicked on them when i open the favorites tab and erased them, and i have opened "organize favorites" and clicked on them in the dialog box and then both right clicked and hit erase, and/or clicked the erase button. See second screen shot.

And third some say they are shared- they were folders marked "favorites" within the favorites tab. They were empty and i renamed them Fred and Ginger. When i try to delete them they open two dialog boxes and it never deletes them nor finishes the task. See third screen shot

    Hello MetalMan,

Favorites are stored in your C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder in Windows Explorer. I find it much easier to work with them from here instead. :)

    Hope this helps,

Hey Shawn, that rocks!!!! Word to ur momma!!

As a primary Firefox user i don't normally have direct access to my favorites like that. In FF they are stored in .json files, which i can't open.

It would be cool, if say after a few months, as my favorites change, that i could click on a favorites folder in FF, and right click > copy it and past it in that same IE favorites folder, then i could go in and delete the original, dated one.

The way I do it to delete all favorite folders in the Favorites (located in C:\users\your name) - and only then I import my bookmarks.

Ahhhh, now i see why i had multiple folders!!
I thought i had re-imported the favorites in the past, and they overwrote the previous ones. Guess i was mistaken.
