IE Explorer Quick Launch Icon- No "Frequent" list when right clicked?

    Hi all,

All of a sudden I have this problem where I right click on the Internet Explorer Icon on the taskbar and there isn't a Frequent list anymore. I used to have a list but now I must have accidentally done something.

    Please help,

    Thanks

Hello FonzeGator, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If this in in Quick Launch, then you will not have a Jump List for it. You will only have a Jump List if it's pinned to the taskbar instead. I don't think you meant Quick Launch though.

You can use the tutorial below to reset and clear all Jump Lists. It may take a day or two before it shows back up.

Jump Lists - Reset and Clear All Items

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Could you give full details about your issue to see if it may be the same or not? This way we will be better able to help. :)

    Hi guys,

I realised this problem only occurs on Internet Explorer 9. I have Google Chrome pinned to my taskbar and when I right click there's a Most Visited list, same with Libraries and Media Player. I tried reinstalling IE9 still no luck.

    Any solution?

ok i found the solution. it did this because i changed the options on IE to disable autocomplete on the address bar for autocomplete history . simply check the option and it will appear after 2 or 3 minutes

I'm happy to hear it worked for you, but I'm not sure why it would.

I tested this by turning off IE AutoComplete. "Frequent" items were still there in IE Jump List until I deleted the IE AutoComplete history of course. However, after opening more tabs in IE, the "Frequent" items started to repopulate in the IE Jump List as expected. Only when I turned off recent items did "Frequent" and "Recent" items in all Jump Lists stop displaying permanently.

    Odd.
