Hi , does anyone know where is the flash video cache

hi i've got some flash video that I want to download from a website. The video can be streamed correctly. However, I've tried many programs, google extension, and firefox addons but none of those stuff can download the program. All the programs return with error message saying "Server Problem", but the video can be streamed correctly under browser. I'd like to know, as the video being streamed, where is it temporary stored? I'd like to go to that directory and grab it out directly. I really 've tried lots of programs but they cant download the video.

    Thanks all

    Hi kenny1999.

I'd imagine it would be cached in the Temporary Internet Files folder along with everything else.

    Have you looked there?

Hi I've looked at that but very strange, most of the files are from April of this year, but I am using my computer everyday and browse thousands of flash pages.

I really can't locate the video. It's flash video. I can't download it online or with any extension /addon etc

I am looking for a more primitive way to make it.

Sorry, Temporary Internet Files folder reference applies to the IE Browser. Maybe you switched to a different browser Back then? In which case you would need to search in the cache folder equivalent for your current Browser.

Don't forget that the cache is often cleared when you close the browser session.

    Cheers.

When I have a video that I'm trying to download with download helper for Firefox sometimes it will not work right or there something in the video that won't allow it then I use this extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...oader-youtube/ and it seems to work.
They also have extensions for other browsers here Flash Video Downloader » Downloads flash video from Google, Metacafe, Daylimotion and other video sharing websites

The videos are stored on the browser' cache like any other website content, if you dig there you'll find it in some form.
I use a program that does exactly that, show you the browser cache in a nicer format: Play offline/Save .flv video files from Web browser cache

When you get the list of files, often the videos are the largest and the most recent ones, it's "primitive" enough, but warranted to work if you have patience.

Also, some flv files will have the php extension and just renaming them to flv will enable them to be played. Works for me at least.
