    Web Browser extremely slow

    Has anyone else experienced problems with IE9? All of the sudden, my browser is extremely slow in uploading web pages and I can no longer download streaming videos.

    Visit the following site and run a test;

    http://testmy.net/

    If your results are poor, contact your ISP.

    Hmmm, I don't trust that site. It says my results are lower then average for my ISP (Comcast), but every other speed test shows otherwise. Then it links to a site selling a PC Speedup program.

    Instead I would troubleshoot IE

    You have a different experience than I do. When I select the download size of
    50 MB, which I failed to mention, the results most often match those of SpeedTest.net. If there is a variance, it is very slight. My systems, I run several different computers, never link me to a site, I am provided an option to a site, which I would never use, to optimize my speed.

    Snapshot shows what I see at the end of the test; red hightlight is the optional link;

    Below is a snapshot of my results from SpeedTest.net

    Here are the results, and link to speedup pc site I get, followed by my usual speed from Speedtest (actually, slower then usual, but made right after the other).

    My experience is vastly different then yours. Granted, different speed tests always give different results, which is why I always use the same for comparison purposes. But the slow speed coupled with a link to a speedup program to "fix my problem" is what alerted me.
