The Firefox theme has nothing to do with your issue. Did you go thrue the tutorial (right click Speech Recognition, choose Start Speech Tutorial). It works not only as a tutorial, it also learns you voice when you do the tasks it asks you to do.

Yes, went through it all the way to the end and then even did the extra 'help to learn' tutorials' then i went and created a new profile and did it all over again to make sure, still nothing..and say what you see does not work, neither does saying 'location' or 'location bar' it just beeps at me and keeps saying 'what was that?' i dont get it, it works perfectly fine with IE, just do not prefer to use IE if i can help it...

I have the same issue. Windows speech recognition doesn't work well with firefox for me it never does anything I want. Plus it makes Firefox sluggish. Works well in IE.

It should still have basic functionality with non-microsoft applications. I also found another app that I'm having issues with when speech recognition is running, mame hangs whenever I try to start a game.

I'm having the same problem with Vazel in terms of Firefox. Whenever speech recognition is on and "listening", Firefox is very sluggish and unresponsive. Has anyone else run into this problem and/or know how to fix this?

Guys, you can try with "show numbers" and see will one of the numbers point to address bar, if yes, just say the number, and then "ok", I tried that thing with numbers in WMP, windows explorer, numbers were pointing almost everywhere. I can't try it right now with FF, friend of mine took my mic and headphones, so...try it:)
    cheers
P.S I've forgot about "mouse grid" it was or "show mouse grid" it was something like that, monitor will be spllited on squares, and by choosing numbers, you can move the cursor around...but it isn't the fastest way around:)
