Gmail check box disabled in IE 9

    Hello,

We have an issue on a laptop that is belong to somebody.
when we tried login into Gmail, the check box remained disabled (grayed out) and not click able as shown in red boxs.Gmail check box disabled in IE 9-untitled.jpg

even the drop down menu as in is not functional.

    Tried below:

    1-We Checked IE9, Internet Option>Security
Put all zones (Internet, Local intranet, Trusted Site) in Low level
and again it did not solved the issue

2-Tried to clear the cache, history, temp, cookies, forum data & active x Filter.
    again login in Gmail.
again it did not solved the issue

3-We thought it might be a compatibility view issue, so we tried to put the link into compatibility list, with "Include updated website lists from Microsoft" and "Display all websites in Compatibility View" checked.
    did not solved the issue

4-We did at shown in below link:
Using Internet Explorer with Compatibility View enabled - Gmail Help

    1. In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu at the top and select Compatibility View Settings.
    2. Make sure that "google.com" is not in the list called "Websites you've added to Compatibility View." If it is on that list, click Remove.
    3. At the bottom of the window, make sure that the boxes next to "Include updated website lists from Microsoft" and "Display all websites in Compatibility View" are not checked.
    4. Click Close. The page you're on will refresh and display in normal mode.

    did not solved the issue

    Please Also Include:
    Operating system: Windows 7
Program and version used to access Gmail: Internet Explorer 9

    Regards

IE 9 have some issues with google tools and gmail, as I faced the problem of calendar display. Try firefox or make it your default browser to get better result.

    Some things to try.

Start> In search box type Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)> Enter

See if the behavior exists with that. If not, you have an extension causing it. If so, try this

Boot to Safe Mode with Networking

    Safe Mode

See if the behavior exists now. If not, you have something conflicting and can perform a clean start to see what it is

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

    Good luck. A Guy

    Thank you for the solutions.
Just today it came in my mind that the issue maybe related to Add-ons

    Update:
1st we installed all latest applications ( Air Flash Flash .NET Shockwave )
    then used
    Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)
at 1st gmail was working fine and i could click on the "check box" & "drop down menu was functional" too.
but after around 5 to 10 click, issue came back and i could not remove any "checked" or "check on another box" also "drop down menu" became not functional.

We will check Safe Mode & Clean Startup later time and update on the same.
    Update:
Just came in my mind that I may need to try Reinstalling IE9 or even downgrading to IE8, for sake of finding the root of the issue.

With new tests Safe Mode & Clean Startup issue did not solved
But we find very important thing that may lead to the rot of the issue
    please check the screen shoot.

By putting the left side of the courser (that shown in red) on the left side of check box (that is in red), [and they should exactly overlap each other], then clicking is totally normal, if we move the courser on any other places on the check box, the clicking function is not working at all.
