Confusing Problems with Flash
Hello all!
I am experiencing an unusual problem with Windows 7. It seems like Flash does not want to work, but only in certain capacities. When I attempt to run certain Flash based applications it loads up, shows that it's starting the buffer and stays in that state indefinitely. I have installed the latest versions of my video driver and Flash, but I am still having problems. The thing that really gets me is that there is no consistency with the problem, which makes it quite puzzling. I am experiencing slow to non-existent load times for Pandora One and Youtube, but there are times when both work just fine for me.
I have tried running both Pandora and Firefox in compatibility mode set to XP SP 3. Pandora functions better in this mode, but if it is left open and not playing for an extended period of time it will not load songs again. Youtube is just wonky and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it's functionality.
In addition to these Flash based apps, I also play Evony (I know...they suck as a company, but I love Kingdom builders and i don't give them any of my money). This is a Flashed based game, and it works just fine. Other flash driven features on websites load up and run flawlessly. It just seems to be Flash apps which draw heavily upon system resources.
I suspect that it is a networking issue with 7 due to the fact that high resource apps will load the interface, but not buffer (while low resource flash games and banners have no problems). I have dug around on teh internetz but have been unable to find a resolution to this issue. If anyone has resolved this issue or could point me in the right direction to solving it, I would be exceedingly grateful.
