Lokks like it could be but the little Magnifying Glass to the right of the search box gives it away.
I haven't even noticed that it had an MRU list yet, I guess I just haven't used it enough to notice.

Hi there,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but has there been anything further on this as my searching of this forum still has not turned up a way to disable autocomplete of previous (history) searches in Win7?
I have noticed that the registry key mentioned previously HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\WordWheelQuery
is filling up with my past file searches, not just limiting to 3 as suggested (although only 3 are ever displayed as suggestions while you type). I really think there should be a way to disable the storage and display of past file searches on my computer for privacy reasons.
