Hello shawnzee,
Welcome to the Seven Forums.
Not sure what you mean. I don't get any auto complete in either Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer or FireFox. I get a drop down list of suggestions. I don't know of any way to turn it off.

yeah its the drop down list of previous searches, I just want to know how to get rid of it, I hate that feature, I disabled it on IE Firefox and media player I just cant figure out how to get rid of the one in windows explorer.
IE8/Tools/Internet Options/Content/Autocomplete/Settings - clear whatever selections you don't want and you can also delete the history.
this is what im talking about I want to get rid of the drop down menu.
Hello shawnzee, welcome to Se7en Forums!
I could be wrong, but I don't believe that can be deleted; short of using the registry. I would like to know if it's possible myself, if you find a way please post back with the info.

Hello Shawnzee...
I searched a bit and still I can't find where these MRU lists are stored.
However , I found that it only keeps the last 3 search strings.
So if you want a way to temporarily get rid of your searches,
type 3 different non-existent searches , 1 each time, and it will keep the last 3 of those, instead of your real ones. It doesn't keep more than 3.
Meanwhile, I'll keep looking for a real solution, cause it's a interesting matter of privacy...
Hey shawnzee... You gave me work at home!
I found your registry key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\WordWheelQuery
Delete everything in this key (not the key WordWheelQuery itself, only what it contains on the right) and your auto-find-what-you-typed list is gone.
I'm now looking for a way to permanently disable it so it doesn't keep track
