Hello Confused, and welcome to Seven Forums.
Do you mean Internet Explorer Compatibility View instead? Internet Explorer Compatibility View - Turn On or OffIf not, then please post a screenshot showing these settings, and let us know what issues you are having. |

Hi and thanks for replying. Yes compatibility view is what i really ment. I have been having trouble researching it for a piece of work i am doing. I can't find anything that simply tells me what each one does. I think that the 'strict' one displays websites in their original version of explorer but i am not sure about the others either. If you could help me, i will be grateful.

Ok. It appears that you are in the IE Developer Tools trying to do this.
Here are a couple of links from Microsoft below that can help give more details about them. Hi, sorry i was never good with explainations. What i mean is that there are 3 types of compatibility mode. strict, quirks and another type that i do not know. quirks, displays website in the browser that they were designed for i.e. website designed for an older version of explorer is ran on current version and is displayed in its original format. I think thats what quirks is at least. Sorry it is confusing but i am bad at ewxplainations. Thank you again.

I know that they are modes for displaying sites in, but i don't entirly know what each one does exactly. I don't know if quirks displays website in their original explorer version or what. I am not sure and don't know what the other two do.

Not that I'm aware of since IE9.
Depending on what your needs are, if you are having compatibility issues with a site, then you might try compatibility view using either option in the tutorial below first. Internet Explorer Compatibility View - Turn On or Off |
