    Problem with .pst

    Hi guys.

Recently, when I decided to start using microssoft outlook I discovered an issue on my computer. When I try to start it, shows up a message that I need something like a data archive. I won't paste here the exact message because is not in english.

The message also says that I need to create the data archive on the Email configurations, on control panel.

There's the problem, when I try to create the .pst file, which is required to use Microsoft Outlook, a message pop up, saying that I do not have that service installed on my computer. I have searched everywhere about this and couldn't find anything. Do you guys have any idea on how to fix this?

    ------------ Edit------------

I uninstalled office and installed again and it worked. Perhaps some files were corrupted or something like that. Sorry for the rush post.

Next time (which hopefully never comes), instead of going through the hassles of a total reinstall, look under Help in any Office module (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), for a "Detect and Repair" option. This will run a detection routine on the entire Office installation, not just the module you are in at that moment. So you can be in Word, for example, run Detect and Repair and it can fix installation issues with Excel, or Outlook. It may not work, but it often does, and is a whole lot easier.
