How do I deal with error in my web browsers?

Hi guys. I am fairly new to computers & stuff, so bear with me. When I start my internet connection, the default browser Opera opens. Sometimes, it opens readily, but sometimes it gives me grief, when it says that due to some error, my default page (or any other page for that matter) can't open. Then, I close Opera, & start Firefox. There my page starts within no time. Similar to Opera's case is Google Chrome. In fact, unlike opera which sometimes opens & sometimes not, Chrome doesn't even open a single page anymore. This has been going on since many days. I am fed up.

P.S. I know this topic isn't strictly related to windows 7, but I would appreciate it very much if y'all help me.

Have you tried moving the computer around to different locations, cleared the browser(s) cache, tried restarting the system?

I haven't moved it, but both the latter options I have tried quite a few times.

    Reinstall both.

    How does IE work.

Are you wireless ? Plug it in.

    Why 4 browsers ?

Today, opera & firefox are working fine. Chrome, as usual, doesn't work anymore. IE displays a message that it cannot display the webpage.
At first i had only chrome, but since it worked sometimes & sometimes not,& I was desperate to surf internet, one day I downloaded all the browsers I could think of.

Oh, apparently I was wrong. Chrome has started working again. Now only IE is not working.
