Changing your password cannot change the kind of e-mails that you receive.

There are two things you can do:

Use whatever tools your e-mail provider may have available to report the e-mail as spam, or you can change your e-mail address.

For example, Comcast has two options that I know of: for people who access their e-mail with a web browser, there's a Spam button. For people like me who use a separate program (I use Outlook 2003), they have a special e-mail address to forward spam to - but it's for Comcast users only.

Well, I was actually talking about just signing up for a new e-mail address and abandoning the old one. I doubt that any e-mail provider would allow a user to change their e-mail address unless it's an extremely offensive one or some special case like that.

Are you using your web browser to access Yahoo mail? If so, then look around to see if there's a way to report the e-mail as spam. Keep doing that for a few days or a few weeks and it will eventually be taken care of for you.

I also recommend looking into ways to block the sender's e-mail address.
