delete outdated urls from Firefox 18.0.2 address bar listing ?

I'm still on Vista Home Premium, but I don't think it makes a difference to this problem.

I have extended, by editing about.config to show 100 urls, in the address list.

But many of them are outdated, the site no longer exists, or the link was mistyped and leads no where. The ones I started going to recently, are nowhere to be seen in the list.

I did look on Mozilla's web site and they mention a places.sqfile that can be edited, but it isn't on my computer.

How can I fix this ?

    Thanks !

    Hello Jim,

While having the address highlighted in the suggestion drop down list, you can press the Delete key to remove it. :)

    You're most welcome Jim. :)

LOL, yeah it would have been nice if they had a X to click on to make it more obvious on how to delete them, but oh well.
